What It Involves
It involves the insertion of thin needles into the skin to stimulate nerves, muscles, and connective tissues throughout the body to alleviate pain, tension, and stress.

Your first visit will last about 60 minutes, during which time we will get to know you and all the pieces of your case relevant to your acupuncture protocol. We will attempt to pull the relevant factors out of your case and connect them to understand the underlying factors contributing to your presentation. Don’t worry—we’ll leave time for a 30-minute acupuncture treatment during your first visit and outline a treatment protocol for you.

Our providers are trained in traditional Chinese medicine and take a more holistic approach to their acupuncture treatment protocols. While able to encompass a more Western-style approach with trigger points and muscle-skeletal complaints, we also tie in our Eastern knowledge of the traditional meridians and the flow of Qi through them.

We offer acupuncture from a registered acupuncturist and also through our Naturopathic doctors. Some insurers prefer one provider over the other.
Head and neck tension are common causes of headaches and migraines. Addressing pre-existing patterns of tension through acupuncture can prevent headaches from happening.
Acupuncture is a great complement to pregnancy care as it is safe and effective. Different points help manage complaints, such as sleeplessness or labour induction.
Pre-conception and fertility support are some of our most popular offerings! Help to regulate your hormones and complement your fertility protocol with acupuncture.
How It Works
Most of our acupuncture clients book with our registered acupuncturist, Dr. Jennifer Corey. If your insurance plan says your acupuncture must be delivered by a registered Naturopath, Dr. Corey can also provide your care as she is both a registered ND and RAc. Our other NDs, Dr. Lia and Dr. Maggie, can provide acupuncture by special request.
